Now on to 2013. We want the fair to continue to grow.

We plan on adding some new entertaiment this year.

The fair can only grow with the help of the community. We are always looking for new volunteers with new ideas. The town of Michigantown is going to help with the purchase of new signs to put along State Road 29 to help to reach more people.
The fair commitee will be having the pork burger sales starting in March in front of Angles of Beauty.
We hope to have the great support from the area buisnesses and individuals as we have in the past.

Michigantown Fair

The Michigantown Fair has been around for many decades. For the 2013 fair we are looking to put together something to commemorate all fairs from the last decades. We are asking people in the community to drop old pictures off at Angels of Beauty and we will scan them. We are working on putting a project together to be ready for the fair.

Fair Fun
2nd weekend

August

2012 was our best fair in the past 4 years since this board took over. We had a total of 45 vendors, and this was a new high for us. We had more cars in our car show than we ever have before. Our parade usually lasts about 30 minutes with everything from llamas to race cars.

We had music entertainment from rock and country to gospel. We had Snakehead Ed for entertainment for the kids, he shows all different kinds of snakes and gives a great show that usually packs the tent.

Last year we added the Goose and Gander Overlander 5K Race. We hope this will continue to grow bigger each year. This was a common event back in the late 70's and early 80's.
